It is time for you to RUN FOR THE HEALTH OF IT!
It is time to lace up your running shoes, gather your friends and join in the fun of the 2009 The Denver Post Colorado Colfax Marathon presented by First Bank and Kaiser Permanente! An anticipated 6,000 runners of all ages and abilities will compete along Colorado's most colorful street in the full marathon (26.2 miles), the half-marathon (13.1 miles) or a relay team comprised of 5 members.

Come test yourself on the new course that will take you along Colfax Avenue in the cities of Aurora, Denver and Lakewood. "We have designed a beautiful out-and-back course that we think runners are really going to enjoy. Not only does it start and end at the newly remodeled City Park Pavilion area, but it takes in some of the best that Colfax Avenue has to offer!” said Creigh Kelly, Race Manager of this year’s race.

*The course is USATF certified and a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
*New course design is perfect for the experienced runner hoping for a personal record and for the first time marathoner!
*Proceeds from the Colorado Colfax Marathon stay home, helping foster youth fitness and obesity prevention.

WOW Way to go Diane - I remember when I turned 50 - I wanted to do something special also - I put together a 50 mile route, started at midnight on my birthday and completed one mile per year - It was awesome - So Congrats on setting a marathons for your goal for your 50th birthday - What is your estimated completion time for the marathon? - Maybe we could run some it together -
