Marathon as a metaphor for life

The marathon is a powerful metaphor for the challenges of life: running a nearly impossible distance of 26.2 miles, pushing yourself mentally and physically to the limit.

The Denver Rescue Mission team of nearly 40 men are living proof of this. They will run the Colfax Marathon on Sunday and
It also represents the road that led them out of that horrific world... via Rocky Mountain News

Watch for all these runners on the course. If you've ever been to a race where the Denver Rescue Mission guys are crossing the finish line, one by one, you know how truly inspirational they are.
