| Charity Partner Goal |
Imagine being addicted to drugs or alcohol. Your addiction takes over your life to the point that you have to enter a long-term rehabilitation program. This is not a 90-day detox, this is one to two years in the Denver Rescue Mission’s New Life Program. Then imagine, in the midst of your recovery, someone telling you that you can run a marathon. On Sunday, May 18th, the second annual Denver Rescue Mission Marathon Team, sponsored by The Dalbey Education Institute, will run be running the half and full Post News Colorado Colfax Marathon. |
| How to Participate |
Join the Denver Rescue Mission Marathon Team! By doing so, you will be a Rescue Runner, a support team for our runners. Raise funds right now and help the Denver Rescue Mission change lives.
First, register for the Post-News Colorado Colfax Marathon. Upon registration, you will be directed to our on-line fundraising platform. |
| Special Features |
Each Rescue Runner will receive a Rescue Runner race day shirt and will be a part of the Denver Rescue Mission Marathon Team. These supporters will be recognized at the Denver Rescue Mission Finish Line Tent and will be announced on the Mission’s web site, www.DenverRescueMission.org. |
| Fundraising Goals |
Individuals or teams can raise money by receiving pledges for their marathon run. You will be asking your friends and family to become a Bronze ($25), Silver ($50), or Gold ($100) sponsor. The money raised will go to the Denver Rescue Mission in order to change more lives and lead individuals and families to self-sufficiency through rehabilitation and counseling. |
